Strength in Body & Mind


I became a Physical Therapist, like many of my peers, influenced by my own experience rehabbing from sports injuries while in HS and college. I've had 4 surgeries to my knee including 2 ACL reconstructions before the age of 25.

I then began practicing Pilates nearly 20 years ago to help myself heal from injuries sustained duing pregnancy and deliveries. All of the things I had been taught in Physical Therapy school failed to provide me with lasting relief. 

Consistent Pilates practice combined with traditional strength training was a game changer for me! Pain resolved and I began to feel and move better than I ever had before. 

I decided to become a Certified Power Pilates Instructor in addition to a PCES (Pregnancy and Post Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist), so I could share this experience and knowledge with all of you. 

It frustrates the heck out of me to hear people say they were told not to do everyday things like squat or lift, or that they need unnecessary surgery because an x-ray shows signs of aging.
